I love snooping around for interesting articles related to weight loss surgery and weight loss in general. There's a new study out by the International Journal of Obesity that says eating eggs for breakfast promotes weight loss.
In the study one group had 2 eggs for breakfast and the other group had a bagel. The calories were identical. The group eating the eggs lost 65% more weight and reported higher energy levels.
The study participants did not have a sleeve gastrectomy, or even wls in general. How it relates to us is it proves what our surgeons tell us, EAT YOUR PROTEIN. The importance of protein keeps being reinforced in new studies. It promotes weight loss and increases energy levels.
If you'd like to read the article here's the link. I think I'm gonna go eat a cheese stick!
