Since having my VSG I've tried to be good about eating protein. All the experts say it's important to weight loss and to maintaining your loss. At first I used a lot of protein bars when I wanted a snack or an easy meal. But I've gotten tire of most of them. They all seem to be chocolate and a little too sweet. I never thought I'd get tired of chocolate, but it's true.
Today I was at CVS killing time while Steve was getting his treatment and decided to try a Kashi GoLean Roll. What caught my eye was that they had one with no chocolate! OMG, I love it! I tried the Caramel Peanut. It's very chewy and it's not very sweet. I know it says peanut but it almost tastes like sesame seeds to me. It's got 12g of protein, 6 g of fiber and 190 calories. And it will travel well so I don't have to worry about chocolate melting. I'm happy! And I'm working my sleeve gastrectomy!
