I realized that I've mentioned the Obesity Help forums in passing in some posts but I've never stopped to talk about them. If you are considering weight loss surgery, want to find out about it, or have already had it you really should pop in for a visit there.

It is a site dedicated to weight loss surgery and has lots of information and resources. There are forums dedicated to all the different kinds of bariatric surgeries. In each of those forums you will find enthusiastic and caring people who are just like you and willing to listen and help. I made my decision to have the vertical sleeve gastrectomy done based on information I gathered from this site. It was also there where I learned about being a self pay. Since my insurance doesn't cover any form of weight loss surgery I thought that it would be way beyond my means to pay for it personally. In short, if I hadn't found the Obesity Help forums I would still be fat and miserable!
